Join Jessops for a weekend photographic break shooting landscapes and wildlife

The newest addition to the Jessops Academy courses and experiences is the Scottish Outdoors Experience. This weekend long break will take you to Kindrogan, Blairgowrie in Scotland where you’ll get the chance to photograph wildlife in its natural habitat, as well as stunning landscapes. There are currently three course dates available running in May, June and August. Places cost £299 per person, which includes accommodation and meals. Jessops launches brand new Scottish Outdoors Experience

Capture the best kept secrets of Scotland’s rugged landscapes and natural wildlife!

The award-winning Jessops Academy has introduced its first ever outdoors photography experience in Scotland. This course is set to include all that is fantatsic about a Scottish country retreat into one weekend break, including stunning landscape views, forest walks, cascading rivers, wild animals and a nature hide.

This experience offers enthusiastic photographes the opportunity to photograph spectacular shots of Scotland’s breath-taking scenery, and perhaps even an elusive pine marten on the way! Under the guidance of a Jessops Academy tutor, participants will be supported with the expertise of a professional with a broad knolwedge of all cameras to take impressive landscape, wildife and macro images. The new photography experience joins an impressive roster of Jessops Academy courses, designed to empower students at all levels with the knowledge and experience to further their photography skill

Set at the field studies centre in Kindrogan, Blairgowrie, delegates will have special access to a carefully located nature hide for photographing red squirrels. Here students will have the chance to experiment in taking close-up and moving shots of the squirrels in their natural habitat.

The duration of the weekend will revolve around a mixture of practical application with brief theory sessions on the Friday night, advising on the what setting to use and how to achieve the best composition. On the Saturday and Sunday there will be ample of opportunities to utilise the hide, alongside several organised trips and walks to explore Kindrogan and its beautiful surroundings.

The course is aimed at students with a previous knowledge and experience of using exposure including Aperture, Shutter Speed and ISO. On the day, delegates will need to bring a camera, fully charged batteries (including spares), memory cards, lenses, and it is advisable to bring waterproof clothing and protective footwear.
