A Duty of Care

As a carer for his mother Jim Mortram developed an anxiety disorder which prevented him from speaking. Photography allowed him to speak out loud again…

In the next episode of Wex Photo Video’s More Than an Image series Jim Mortram shares his story of how photography helped him to be a person again.

“If you look a bit deeper you can certainly see some of the struggle and the isolation, and difficulty that people are facing,” says Jim. “It’s almost like a duty, it’s a responsibility to use photography and the testimony I share with it to grab people’s attention and say this is what’s happening, try and understand.”
