Meet the newest addition to the Fujifilm X Series range – the X-T30
The successor to the X-T20 is targeted at all levels of photographers from beginners to advanced
The X-T30 features the same X-Trans CMOS 4 image sensor and X-Processor 4 image processing engine as that found in the X-T3, and offers one of the highest resolutions among APS-C cameras at 26.1 megapixels. It has a native ISO sensitivity that goes down to 160 – previously only available as an extended ISO – and also features a new AF system, with on-sensor phase detection AF area covering the entire frame and able to operate in +0.5EV to -3EV. Taken from the X-T3, the X-T30 now also features the Face Selection function for more control over focusing when shooting images that include several people.
Designed for comfort and stability, the X-T30 weighs just 383g and features a Focus Level, which replaces the Selector Buttons on previous X Series models, providing users with extra space to grip the camera. The rear LCD is also 1.3mm thinner and offers an improved touchscreen response.
As for video functionality, the X-T30 offers 6K (6250×3510) recording to produce stunning quality 4K (3810×2160). 4K/30P video can be recorded at 4:2:0 8bit to an SD card, and F-log recording can be done at 4:2:2 10bit via HDMI port.
This X Series camera also includes Fujifilm’s exclusive Film Simulations, which now includes ETERNA, but additional functionality on this camera allows you to make ‘monochrome adjustments’ in ACROS and Monochrome, and add a ‘Color Chrome’ effect for deeper colours.
The X-T30 will be available in black and silver from March 2019, and charcoal silver from May 2019. Body only will be priced at £849.99, with the XC15-45mm kit priced at £899 and the XF18-55mm kit at £1,199.
