New Nikkor Z lenses

Posted on Oct 7, 2020

In exciting news for users of Nikon’s mirrorless Z systems, the brand has added its first f/1.2 prime lens. The Nikkor Z 50mm f/1.2 S offers a lot for all-round shooters, with strong low-light performance, fast and accurate autofocus and fine bokeh.

Nikon’s second new offering, the Nikkor Z 14-24mm f/2.8 S, completes the brand’s line-up of high-performance ‘trinity’ lenses. The lens offers a constant aperture through the whole focal range, as well as superb image rendering and a pleasingly compact body.

Robert Harmon, head of commercial planning at Nikon UK, comments: “These are significant new Nikkor Z lenses, which we’re proud to be able to offer professionals. Our new 14-24mm perfectly completes our trinity of professional zoom lenses, while the 50mm mirrorless prime is a more affordable choice for pros who want optical performance that comes close to our remarkable S-line Noct, without sacrificing autofocus capabilities.”

Both lenses will be available before the end of 2020. The 50mm comes with an RRP of £2299 and the 14-24mm is priced at £2499.
