Kenro launches Smart Lites, a high performance LED light series packed full of features to enhance any project
Kenro’s all-new Smart Lites offer high quality, accurate light, multiple mounting and power options, plus full precision control at your fingertips when using the corresponding smartphone app for certain models. The range has been designed with photographers and film makers in mind and is highly portable, making it easy to shoot on location or in the studio.
The RGB Compact LED Video Light is pocket-sized powerhouse ideal for photo and video projects. It can function as a key light or a fill light and allows you to create strategic highlights. Its 4040mAh battery has an output of 10W, lasting around 1.6 hours on a full charge. The RGB light has a CRI (Ra) 96+ and CCT colour temperature range of 7500-3200K, ensuring that colours aren’t distorted or altered. The light panel produces 720 LM of brightness, provides up to 1050 Lux of illumination, and boasts nine built-in special lighting effects. Another key feature is its full 360-degree RGB colour spectrum with 1-100% controls for brightness and saturation, allowing users to choose from millions of colours and get creative with their shoot. The RGB Compact LED is lightweight and easily mounted on your camera. The Bi-Colour Compact LED Video Light is an entry-level light suitable for live streaming, video shooting, interviews, portraits, weddings, macro photography and more. Like the RGB, it’s powered by a 4040mAh integrated battery with an output of 9W lasting 1.9 when operating at 100% brightness. The light can also function as a power bank for smartphones or other USB-powered devices. It features CRI (Ra) 96 and a CCT colour temperature range of 5600-3200K. The panel produces 810LM of brightness and provides up to 1150 Lux of illumination. Everything you need comes in a complete kit, costing £49.99.
The third product to be announced is an aluminium mini ball head with a maximum capacity of 10kg. Featuring a standard cold shoe insert at the base of the ball head, it’s easy to mount on top of DSLR and mirrorless cameras. The cold shoe is also compatible with tripods and light stands. The ball head’s top plate can be used to attach accessories, or removed and reversed to reveal another cold shoe for mounting extra accessories such as microphones and off-camera flash. The aluminium mini ball head retails at £14.99.
The final product to be announced is a smartphone adapter, which features two cold shoe slots for additional accessories such as light panels and microphones. Devices are clamped securely between two plates with textured rubber grips that are easily adjusted. The smartphone holder rotates, allowing you to switch smoothly between portrait and landscape mode. The adapter can be mounted on grip handles, tripods and light stands. It retails at £5.99.
