Vanguard releases two travel tripods

Posted on Apr 10, 2023

The travel tripods are designed for spotting scopes as well as cameras

Vanguard has released two new travel tripods – the VEO 3T 265HAP and VEO 3T 265HCP – which support spotting scopes as well as cameras. The tripods’ legs are 26mm in diameter and built from aluminium and carbon, respectively.

The VEO 3T 265 tripods feature an Arca compatible two-way pan head and handle that makes it easy to tilt and pan. As such, videographers and portrait or landscape photographers are well catered for, as are birdwatchers and other observers whose spotting scopes include an Arca-compatible base.

The tripods measure 44cm long when folded and achieve a maximum extended height of 1.635m. Although lightweight at 1,640g and 1,840g, both models can hold up to 6kg, which covers most spotting scopes, video cameras and telephoto lenses.

Legs extend to 20, 50 and 80-degree angles and lock with a twist, while a low-angle adapter provides extra versatility. The tripods also include attachable spikes and a retractable hook for additional stability, when required.

The Vanguard VEO 3T 265HAP and 265HCP tripods cost £249.99 and £319.99, respectively, and are available now. Visit Vanguard’s website to learn more.
