The Pink Lady Food Photographer of the Year is now open submissions for fantastic food photos from around the world

Every year, Pink Lady hosts the Food Photographer of the Year contest to celebrate the very best in food photography and video from amateur and professional photographers. Now in its 13th year, the contest showcases creativity, vision and storytelling through the lens of food.
“The world seems to be changing at a faster and faster pace, but there is one constant, which is our need for food and food’s centrality to life everywhere on the plane”, says Founder of the Awards, Caroline Kenyon. “Food is the great unifier, and the great leveller and photography captures this so powerfully.”
Two new categories feature this year: The Tiptree Cake Award for images capturing cake and The James Beard Foundation Award for images in any context that celebrate the people behind America’s food culture – “good food for good” anchored in talent, equity and sustainability. Also new for 2024, entry to the Student Food Photographer of the Year category is free to enter, and there is a Food Film Shorts category, which is for film a few seconds to three minutes long.
The exhibition which has been based in Bristol for the past few years, heads back to London for its premiere in 2024.
The judging panel is chaired by David Loftus and includes Claire Reichenback, CEO at The James Beard Foundation, Tom Altron, CEO at Fortnum & Mason, Nik Sharma, Cookbook author and Photographer, Fiona Shields, Picture Editor at The Guardian, and Rein Skullerud, Senior Photographer & Photo Editor at World Food Programme.
“I think food brings happiness”, says Khanh Phan, multiple finalist. “Pink Lady Food Photographer of the Year is an opportunity for the contestants to exchange food culture around the world through photography.”

Entries are submitted via the website. Browse the categories to find which best suits your images. Entries close Sunday 4 February 2024.
