The PowerShot PX is an intelligent camera that helps you take candid pictures with ease
Canon has just unveiled the PowerShot PX, a small, tabletop camera loaded with smart features for capturing authentic moments without the need for a designated photographer.
Incorporating features such as automatic capture of high-quality 11.7MP images and 60p Full HD video, this smart camera enables families to relax and enjoy the moment without worrying about taking pictures themselves.
Canon’s recognition technology enables the camera to follow the action and frame subjects optimally to capture their expressions and reactions to events as they unfold. With a 19-57mm focal length range and 340˚ pan and 110˚ tilt zoom lens, the camera is able to automatically track subjects moving in front of it. It even incorporates voice command, allowing hands-free control.
An accompanying app for iOS and Android allows users to quickly collate their memories in a digital scrapbook. The app enables manual control from your phone and allows users to customise automatic capture settings, so that you add a personal touch to your photos. The PowerShot PX can also be used as a webcam when used with the PC webcam utility app.
Photos and videos taken with the PowerShot PX can be saved to a memory card and easily uploaded to a computer. It uses a USB-C charge and can be synced with a smart device using built-in Wi-Fi.
The PowerShot PX will be available from November, retailing at £449.99. For more information, please visit Canon’s website.
