The CEWE Photo Award global photography contest is now open for entries with a huge prize fund on offer
CEWE has announced the launch of its annual CEWE Photo Award. The competition invites both professional and amateur photographers to submit their work, offering them a chance to be recognised globally and to win a share of a €250,000 prize pool.
How to enter
Submissions for the competition are open until May 31, 2025, and entry is free of charge. Participants can choose from 10 categories, including ‘close-up and macro photography,’ ‘nature and wildlife,’ ‘street photography,’ ‘sports and action’, ‘animals’, ‘landscapes’, ‘people, travel and culture’, ‘architecture’ and ‘cooking and food’.
This year, the theme focuses on “celebrating the earth’s beauty,” encouraging photographers from around the world to participate. Contestants can submit up to 100 pictures across all categories without any entry fee.
Judging and prizes
The entries will be evaluated by an international panel of industry experts, journalists and professionals. This includes UK’s Christie Goodwin, known for her celebrity photography, who will serve as the President of the Jury.
The overall winner will receive a holiday worth €15,000, €7,500 in photography equipment and €2,500 in CEWE products. Additional prizes are available for category winners, making up the overall prize pool of €250,000.
Social impact
The CEWE Photo Award also supports charitable causes. For every photo entered, CEWE will make a donation to its charity partner SOS Children’s Villages International, which aims to improve the lives of disadvantaged children globally.
