Go from wide to telephoto with Olympus’ new power zoom

The M.Zuiko Digital ED 12-200mm f/3-5.6 lens offers a 16.6x zoom making it the most powerful zoom in its class

Olympus’ M.Zuiko Digital ED 12-200mm f/3.5-6.3, available from late March, gives a 35mm equivalent focal length of 24-400mm and offers a 16.6x magnification, currently making it one of the most powerful zoom lenses for mirrorless cameras. Like the rest of the M.Zuiko lens range, the lens – even with its wide to telephoto focal range – is compact and lightweight, weighing 455g and measuring 77.5mm x 99.7mm. Its design also makes it dust, splash and freeze proof, a feature taken from the M.Zuiko PRO series.

The lens is also equipped with the MSC (Movie and Still Compatible) focus mechanism, offering high-speed AF performance. To suppress chromatic aberrations and distortions, as well as reducing ghosting and flaring, it has a Super ED lens, aspherical lenses, and a ZERO (Zuiko Extra-low Reflection Optical) coating.

The M.Zuiko Digital ED 12-200mm f/3.5-6.3 will be available from late March with an RRP of £799.99. The lens comes with a free six-month warranty extension when registered via the MyOlympus platform at my.olympus.eu
