Hasselblad has announced the X2D 100C Lightweight Field Kit, targeted at travel and documentary photographers
Hasselblad’s newest kit includes its flagship X2D 100C medium format mirrorless camera along with the XCD 4/21 and XCD 4/45P ultra wide-angle lenses. A combined weight of 1,810g will appeal to those on long shoots or outdoor adventures as well as those who value easy storage.
The X2D 100C is Hasselblad’s newest mirrorless medium format camera, with a 100-megapixel BSI CMOS sensor, seven-stop in-body image stabilisation and a built-in 1TB SSD. Manufactured in Scandinavia, the X2D weighs 890g and is made from durable aluminium alloy.
The lenses – the XCD 4/21 and 4/45P – provide 17mm and 36mm full frame focal equivalencies, respectively. Collectively, they can cover a range of travel scenarios, such as landscape, architecture and street, documentary and still-life photography.
The XCD 4/21 is the widest Hasselblad lens to date and boasts 13 elements in nine groups. As with other X series lenses, the 4/21 contains an integrated central shutter and full flash synchronisation up to 1/2000s.
The XCD 4/45P, though larger in focal length, is the lightest lens in the XCD family at just 320g. It has a minimum focus distance of 35cm, features nine elements in seven groups and uses a built-in leaf shutter system.
The Hasselblad X2D 100C Lightweight Field Kit is priced at €13,199 (approximately £11,620) and is available now. Learn more by visiting Hasselblad’s website.
