Hobolite shines spotlight on design

Posted on Mar 20, 2023

Hobolite is a new LED lighting brand for design-conscious professional photographers, videographers and content creators on-the-go

Hobolite describes itself as a brand created by artists for artists. According to its website, it aims to produce LED lighting and accessories for photographers, filmmakers and content creators that is “as functional as it is beautiful”.

Three flagship models – Mini, Avant and Pro – range in power from 20-300W, with a light output from 2700K – 6500K. All have high colour accuracy, with a CRI of 96. They weigh approximately 500g, 1.5kg and 3.6kg, respectively, and have been targeted at creators who value portability, performance and aesthetics.

While beauty is in the eye of the beholder, the lighting has picked up a number of awards for its design and has successfully launched in the USA and Asia. The brand is backed by AEC Lighting Solutions and will be distributed across the UK and Europe by LUMESCA Group.

The lights are available individually or as kits, which are curated to include a number of accessories such as collapsible modifiers, colour filters and carbon-fibre tripods.

Kits start from £299 and individual lights start from £269. The entire range is available from leading retailers across Europe and from the Hobolite website.
