JOBY unveils JOBY Compact and JOBY Podzilla™ tripods

The tripod systems offer flexible, lightweight solutions for content creators on the go
Earlier this week, JOBY announced two new tripod ranges that tailor to the needs of modern content creators, providing versatile and reliable models for use while out and about.
The JOBY Compact range offers four lightweight tripods designed for use with conventional cameras as well as smartphones.
Each of the four models has been designed to suit different needs:
- JOBY Compact Light – on-the-go vlogging and content creation using a mobile phone or camera
- JOBY Compact Action (compete with ergonomic joystick head) – dynamic photo or movie content
- JOBY Compact Advanced – advanced vlogging using compact mirrorless and DSLR cameras
- JOBY 2in1 Monopod – designed for simple vlogging with a camera or mobile phone; the ultimate high-quality selfie stick
The JOBY Compact Kit includes a phone clamp as an additional accessory for the tripod, while the JOBY Compact Action and Compact Advanced models are available as just the tripod or as a kit with a smartphone clamp included with the tripod. These tripods are a great option for vloggers as they are strong, lightweight and stable, perfect for creating content on the go. These tripods are compatible with additional accessories such as the GripTight™ 360 Phone Mount, which allows users to change photo orientation quickly and easily.

The JOBY Podzilla™ range is aimed at anyone that’s just getting into vlogging or content creation who is looking for a quick and simple set-up that’s easy to install on any surface. This range responds to the growing demand from people starting to create content for online. The simple design includes an aluminium frame with a rubber outer cover for better grip. Its three sturdy legs allow users to achieve a stable platform, even on rough and uneven surfaces. The Podzilla is available in two sizes, Medium and Large.
Podzilla™ Medium Kit features a ¼-20” mount locking wheel that can be adjusted using a push-button. It Is compatible with compact mirrorless and bridge cameras as well as smartphones when using the GripTight 360 Phone Mount, which is included with the tripod. The design measures 25 x 4.8 x 5.4cm and incorporates a spring-loaded rotation feature that makes it easy to change orientation from portrait to landscape, or vice versa. The Medium Kit is available in four different colours (grey, red, teal and yellow) for a more personal touch.
The Podzilla Large is a more robust tripod measuring 31.5 x 5.5 x 7.3cm and also includes a ¼-20” mount, capable of supporting loads of up to 2.kg. For more professional-looking content, the tripod can be adjusted using the built-in bubble level to achieve a perfectly level surface. Lights, mics, cameras and mobile phones can all be added quickly and easily, giving content creators flexibility to adapt their tripod to each scenario.
