Leica and Lenny Kravitz collaborate for a second time

Leica Camera and Kravitz Design have launched the limited-edition Leica M Monochrom Drifter, designed by Lenny Kravitz

The Leica M Monochrom Drifter is the result of the latest collaboration between Leica and Grammy-winning musician, actor and artist Lenny Kravitz. The name Drifter comes from how Kravitz sees himself, he says: “I’m a drifter. That has been my life since I was 15 years old; I’m always on the road.” The Monochrom was chosen by Lenny, who says that he loves the quality of the Monochrom system. “It’s exquisite. I tend to see things in black & white. It looks more real to me, and timeless,” he adds.

The Leica M Monochrom Drifter has been designed with a synthetic python snakeskin cover made from premium-quality vegan leather, with sepia and brown paint to give a stylish, vintage look.

Priced at £20,500, there are only 125 units available globally and each camera also comes with a Leica Summicron-M 28mm f/2 ASPH and an APO-Summicron-M 75mm f/2 ASPH lens, a brown leather-life Weekender bag and two pouches and cases for the lens.
