Leica has officially launched the Vario-Elmarit-SL 70-200 f/2.8 ASPH telephoto zoom lens, which now completes the company’s SL-System range of f/2.8 zoom lenses
This release adds to the existing Super-Vario-Elmarit-SL 14-24 f/2.8 ASPH and Vario-Elmarit-SL 24-70 f/2.8 ASPH lenses, offering photographers a continuous f/2.8 aperture across focal lengths from 14mm to 200mm.
The lens includes 20 elements in 15 groups, featuring three aspherical lenses to help maintain sharpness across the entire frame. It also incorporates image stabilisation for additional freedom handheld.
The Vario-Elmarit-SL 70-200 f/2.8 ASPH promises great results for a wide range of genres, such as portrait, event, sports and nature photography.
Leica has also introduced the Extender L 2.0x teleconverter, which extends the focal length of the Vario-Elmarit-SL 70-200mm lens to 140-400mm.
Both the Vario-Elmarit-SL 70–200 f/2.8 ASPH and the Extender L 2.0x are available for purchase now, priced at £2,780 and £800, respectively.
