Luminar AI is here

Posted on Dec 22, 2020

The popular Luminar 4 editing software featured a few powerful AI-based tools among its more typical editing offerings, including AI sky replacement and AI portrait enhancer. Now, Luminar AI takes more significant steps forward.

Designed to take the hours of work out of more significant creative edits, Skylum’s new software offers tools that build upon existing capabilities and brand-new options alike. These new tools include 3D weather effects, structure, colour and contrast manipulation, advanced face and body touch-ups, artificial lighting and more. Intelligent bokeh emulation are expected in a later update.

While artificial intelligence can apply all of these advanced edits automatically, full control is offered with sliders for fine-tuning.

Like Luminar 4, Luminar AI can be used as a stand-alone editing platform or as a plug-in for other third-party software. Luminar AI is available at the one-off cost of £69.
