Nikon releases NX Field Version 1.3.0

Posted on Nov 30, 2022

The latest software supports remote control via master camera, plus additional features

Nikon has released the latest version (1.3.0) of its NX Field remote shooting system. The update supports video recording on the Nikon Z 9 mirrorless camera and enhances remote shooting capabilities for professional photographers, videographers and broadcasters.

NX Field is a remote camera control software that handles up to ten devices at a time, connecting them via wired networks, Wi-Fi, BlueTooth or mobile signal. Version 1.3.0 introduces several features meant to increase efficiency whilst recording. For starters, users can control multiple cameras via tablet, adjusting settings, monitoring displays and starting and stopping video from one single device. The update also permits one master camera to control the others, auditing their connection levels and additional status information.

Depending on the content they’re looking to produce, NX Field users can also manually select a single focus point or use autofocus for more dynamic subjects. Furthermore, the latest version supports both RAW and JPEG files.
