No limit journalism with Leica SL2-S

Posted on Oct 20, 2022

Leica’s intuitive SL2-S Reporter poised to expand horizons with remarkable precision and hybrid experience – for photo and video journalists

The new member of Leica’s Reporter-Design-Series pays highest tribute to photo and video journalism through its signature craftsmanship. With a remarkably robust design – alongside the M 10-P, a Q2 and a Q2 Monochrome (already released) – the SL2-S effectively tackles the adverse operating conditions of professional photography.

Walking in the footsteps of its predecessor (the SL2), the superfast SL2-S combines a 24MP CMOS-BSI sensor, the latest Maestro III processor, and separate modes for photo and video. Unobtrusive with reliable precision, subtle submersion into action is a breeze. Lose yourself in the unfolding story, attracting no attention from your subject, all thanks to intuitive operation.

Shooting in harsh temperatures? The SL2-S tackles extremity head on with a shock-, dust-, and water-resistant aramid fibre coating. Redefining the boundaries of resilience, an all-metal body features a tough scratch-resistant paint finish in dark green, offering nature/outdoor photographers, photojournalists and press photographers near-limitless possibilities. This synthetic fibre is used to produce protective equipment, with its distinctive pattern of tightly interwoven fibres, it considerably increases grip. As safe handling is vital component for photographers on the roam, the SL2-S really stands out.

The Leica SL2-S Reporter is available globally at all Leica Stores, the Leica Online Store and authorised dealers starting now. The retail price is £4,700.00.
