Posted on May 22, 2024

Panasonic has introduced a new lens to its Lumix S Series with the launch of the Lumix 26mm pancake

The Lumix S 26mm f/8 is a compact and lightweight manual focus lens that Panasonic says aims to find the perfect balance between portability and quality. The lens offers a fixed focal length of 26mm and a maximum aperture of f/8.

The lens measures a very portable 18.1mm in length and weighs around 58g. As such it is being positioned as a versatile option for everyday, casual and creative photography.

The Lumix 26mm pancake lens is scheduled for release at the end of June 2024, with a recommended retail price of £219.99 or €239.99.

Such a price point makes it accessible to a wide range of photographers, from amateurs looking to expand their equipment to professionals seeking a more portable option.
