Two new photo printers from Epson

Posted on Mar 24, 2020

Aimed at professionals and high-level enthusiasts, the new SureColor SC-P700 and SC-P900 photo printers house many sure-to-please features.

On the outside, Epson’s two new photo printers feature intentionally ‘non-printer’ designs, made to be pleasing to the eye while remaining compact and lightweight. Both have the smallest footprint and the lightest weight in their classes.

Inside, the two photo printers share many of the same features, with the SC-P700 producing prints up to A3+ and the SC-P900 up to A2+. Those features include three different paper paths to accommodate a range of print media, a black D-Max value of 2.95 for deep blacks, an expanded blue colour gamut, an auto sheet feeding system to make the feeding of fine art media easier and a spindle-less integrated roll unit (optional for the SC-P900).

Epson assures the printers are also user friendly, thanks to the Epson Media Installer, a 10.9cm LCD optical touchscreen – which can be used with gloves – and the Epson Print Layout, which makes colour management easier as well as printing itself.

The Epson SureColor SC-P700 and SC-P900 will be available from April.
