Rode releases Wireless ME microphone system

Posted on Apr 11, 2023

The Wireless ME ultra-compact microphone system offers a simple clip-on audio solution

Rode has launched its Wireless ME microphone system, which includes two ultra-compact mics that can capture seven hours of omnidirectional sound. They measure 44mm by 45.3mm by 18.3mm and weigh 32g, with a variety of clips available that allow them to be attached to clothing and directly onto cameras.

The Wireless ME system is compatible with cameras, computers and smartphones, as well as Rode applications like Capture iOS. Content recorded with Wireless ME can then be uploaded to social media platforms and shared as an Instagram Reel, TikTok or YouTube Short.

Wireless ME includes built-in, broadcast-grade microphones in both the transmitter and receiver. This is ideal for collaborative podcasts and other forms of content creation that require two-way interviews or dual-camera recording. The system can also connect to an additional transmitter, capturing three sources simultaneously.

The Wireless ME system includes Rode’s GainAssist technology, which promises clear audio with a range of over 100m. It requires a TRS input and either a 3.5mm TRS or USB-C output. Purchase for £159 at an authorised retailer or learn more by visiting Rode’s website.
