SIGMA announces world’s smallest full-frame mirrorless digital camera
The SIGMA fp possesses 24.6 megapixels and allows interchangeable lenses and accessories
As of July 2019, the SIGMA fp is the world’s smallest and lightest full-frame mirrorless digital camera, with overall dimensions of 112.6×69.9×45.3mm and body weight of 370g, without battery and card. The camera features a 35mm Bayer sensor with 24.6 effective megapixels and, despite its small body, allows for mixing-and-matching with a variety of interchangeable lenses and accessories.
The SIGMA fp offers users the ability to shoot stills or videos and comes with a host of features including the ability to adjust image tone and colour, an Auto HDR function and the ability to create animated GIF ‘Cinemagraphs’ in-camera.
Additionally, the camera supports 12-bit CinemaDNG external recording for raw video data and possesses the ability to record at 4K UHD/24fps.
Through the use of the L-Mount, a range of SIGMA lenses can be used with the camera as well as those of other manufacturers. With the SIGMA MOUNT CONVERTER MC-21, SIGMA SA mount and SIGMA’s CANON EF mount lenses can be used, offering users even more options.
