Studio sessions made simpler

Posted on Nov 9, 2022

Elinchrom’s latest studio light also supports continuous shooting

Elinchrom has released a new battery monolight — the Elinchrom FIVE — a powerful, 500W LED studio light. Designed with an unconcealed flash tube and compatible with various accessories, the FIVE delivers a large, even light spread. With an adjustable temperature of 2700-6500K and an output of 4000 lumens, users can customise colour and brightness, ensuring subjects are properly lit — whatever the creative project.

The FIVE supports Active Charging, letting users top up the battery with a USB-C whilst shooting. When unplugged and completely charged, the FIVE can take 450 full-power flashes or keep a continuous running light, so there’s no need to slow down or stop. With Smart Pro-Active Cooling, it learns users’ typical shooting speeds and adjusts accordingly to avoid overheating.

For those who’ve used the Elinchrom ELC 152/500, the FIVE has a familiar interface. Its intuitive menu encourages the simplest studio session, while its comfort grip makes for smooth directional changes. It also has built-in Bluetooth so users can control settings remotely via the Elinchrom Studio app.

The Elinchrom FIVE is available from The Flash Centre and other select retailers for £1619. For more information, visit Elinchrom’s website.
