Syrp Genie Micro available now

Posted on Dec 10, 2020

Adding to its existing line-up of motion control devices, the Syrp Genie Micro (£139.95) functions as a smart remote for mirrorless and DSLR cameras. The Genie Micro offers control over a broad range of remote functions when using Syrp’s flagship Genie system. The user interface is managed easily and efficiently by the brand’s free mobile app.

The Genie itself is a motion controller that’s designed for video and time-lapse photography. While newer products, such as the Genie Mini II, which launched in June 2019, offer app control, the Genie Micro provides the user with even greater levels of control, used in conjunction with a wider range of the brand’s devices.

Live Control mode enables users to adjust exposure levels through aperture, shutter speed or ISO, or trigger a photo or video without touching the camera. You can also set parameters that include recording time, intervals and playback time.

The Syrp Genie Micro fits into the camera’s hot shoe, then connects via the Syrp Link Cable for triggering only, or via USB for the full range of advanced controls. App control is possible within a 10m radius through integrated Bluetooth and Wi-Fi.
