The Guernsey Photography Festival launches international competition
Guernsey Photography Festival’s 2020 international photography competition is open for entries, offering a total of £6,500 in prize money.
In 2018, the competition attracted more than 600 entries from photographers across 50 countries. This year, the competition features three categories: international, international student and Channel Islands student, offering £5,000, £1,000 and £500 in prize money respectively.
Now in its third year, the competition is open to all photographers, professionals and amateurs alike, who have developed a coherent, artistically driven body of work. There is no set theme.
Norwegian photographer Terje Abusdal won the previous competition for his series, Slash & Burn. Five shortlisted photographers were also exhibited at the Guernsey Photography Festival in 2018.
Sponsored by the Raven Property Group, the international photography competition is designed to recognise the work of emerging and established contemporary photographers.
