Each year brings exciting products for us photographers — whether it’s state-of-the-art lenses, vlogging videocams or new features on vintage models. The Photography News 2022 Awards gives you the opportunity to celebrate the best products — both new and old — and the companies that make them.

It’s easy to forget how much our equipment matters. Without well-rounded cameras, sharp lenses, portable tripods and comfortable bags, we wouldn’t be as enthusiastic about capturing incredible images.
Great kit is essential for amateurs and professionals alike and the PN Awards take this into account, while recognising the brilliant folks who design, manufacture, and sell our beloved products. Needless to say, our experts have their favourites, but it’s not all about us! What’s inside a photographer’s kit bag is a personal choice; that’s why we also want to hear from you, our readers.
We’ve separated items into 45 groups, ranging from DSLRs to carbon fibre tripods to training providers, so you can have your say on who deserves to win. Vote for free online in one, two, or all 45 categories — it’s entirely up to you.
