Three new lenses by Sigma for mirrorless cameras

The new 14-24mm f/2.8, 35mm f/1.2 and 45mm f/2.8 lenses are designed for full-frame shooting and offer diverse possibilities

Sigma’s three new lenses – the 14-24mm f/2.8 DG DN Art, the 35mm f/1.2 DG DN Art and the 45mm f/2.8 DG DN Contemporary – are optimised for full-frame still or video shooting on mirrorless cameras, offering new options for photographers and videographers who favour mirrorless.

The 14-24mm lens’s large diameter, bright aperture and wide angle make it a strong option for photographers shooting starry skies, with a promise of high resolution to the edge of the frame.

The 35mm is Sigma’s first f/1.2 prime lens. With a large aperture comes the promise of high resolution and large bokeh effects with a shallow depth-of-field, meaning the lens may be a new favourite among portrait photographers and those wishing to shoot similar artistic content.

The 45mm features a compact design, intended for use with small full-frame mirrorless bodies. As part of Sigma’s Contemporary line, the lens is designed for easy operability across the board and diverse shooting options.

All three lenses accommodate high-speed, accurate and quiet auto focus when shooting still or video, with L-Mount and Sony E-mount AF mounts available. Other features across all three lenses include a mount with a dust- and splash-proof cover, and full-time manual mode.

The 14-24mm f/2.8 DG DN Art and 35mm f/1.2 DG DN Art both carry an SRP of £1459.99 and launch in August and July 2019 respectively. The 45mm f/2.8 DG DN Contemporary is priced at an SRP of £549.99 and will also launch July 2019.
