Vanguard Unveils VEO MT-12 Multi-Mount and Horizontal Arm
Posted on Sep 30, 2021
The VEO MT-12 delivers a versatile solution for upgrading your existing tripod
Keeping your photography gear up to date to suit your changing needs can be challenging, especially since sustainability is an increasingly important factor to consider when upgrading your kit.
Vanguard recognises that most photographers don’t want to replace their perfectly good tripod every time a new one gets released, because – let’s face it – it would be near impossible to keep up! However, there may come a time when you want to add more cameras, more accessories, and get more out of your tripod – but without having to get a brand new one.
That’s where the VEO MT-12 comes in. Vanguard has designed a multi-mount and horizontal arm that can fit onto any tripod with a 1/4” or 3/8” thread, allowing the addition of up to four accessories. The aluminium alloy bar is 65cm long and functions as a horizontal arm, giving users the option to shoot from above – a great option for any keen food or macro photographers.
There’s a mounting plate with a reversible 3/8” to 1/4” thread at each end of the mount, enabling the addition of two more accessories. The system is kept secure by grub screws, so you can be sure that all your additional kit will be held tightly in place.
The VEO MT-12 comes with two VEO+ MA1 adaptors, allowing the attachment of an accessory direct on a 1/4” thread, or using a tripod head for greater control. The position of the adaptors can be easily adjusted to achieve the optimum position for the extra accessory or camera.
The multi-mount weighs a modest 1025g and can bear a load of 10kg. It also comes with a luxury carry bag to protect it when not in use.
The VEO MT-12 retails at a recommended price of £119.99 and is available now.
