Wex Photo Video to open store in Cambridge

Posted on Dec 14, 2022

Opening in January, the Cambridge branch will be the 13th Wex Photo Video brick-and-mortar location

Specialist photographic retailer Wex Photo Video has added its newest location to a growing list. The store, opening in early January 2023, is located on Green Street in Cambridge’s City Centre.

The Cambridge store will offer a range of products and services, stocking new and used equipment from brands like Canon, Nikon, Sony, Fujifilm and more. Customers will be able to browse cameras, lenses and accessories, as well as more specialised items like astronomical devices, audio equipment and other optics.

Wex offers additional services to professionals and enthusiasts alike, including gear hire, in-store testing, sensor cleaning, trade-ins and expert advice.

Wex Photo Video has identified a national increase in consumer spending on photography as the main driver of the expansion; one way it will tap into this is with Cambridge’s population of over 23,000 students. As such, the retailer will be offering student discounts, events and courses both in-person and through the Wex Student Hub. This is in addition to thriving tourism in the city, which attracts over 7.5 million visitors per year.

Wex Cambridge will open seven days a week from 9am to 6pm, Monday to Saturday and 11am to 5pm on Sundays. Learn more at wexphotovideo.com.
