Fujifilm announces X-T200 and new lens

The company has revealed a new X-T200 camera, featuring some great new specs, and broadens its GFX range of lens options with the GF45-100mm f/4 R LM OIS WR.
Fujifilm’s latest camera includes a selection of the X-T100’s popular features, but with even more refined and impressive new specs. In terms of build, the X-T200 weighs in at 370g – that’s around 80g lighter than its predecessor – and features a new vari-angle touchscreen, which promises intuitive controls like those of a smartphone.
Inside, the X-T200 boasts a high-speed APS-C 24.2-megapixel CMOS sensor. Processing speed has seen a nice improvement, with the new addition able to process data 3.5 times faster than the X-T100. Autofocus performance in the X-T200 is also dramatically enhanced through the use of phase detection autofocus pixels across the sensor.
There are some nice improvements in the video specs, with HDR video, 4K 30p recording and Full HD 120p slomo capabilities all being added.
The Fujifilm X-T200 is available as a kit with the XC15-45mm f/3.5-5.6 OIS PZ lens in three colours (silver, dark silver and champagne). It is priced at £749 and available from 27 February.
The new camera isn’t Fujifilm’s only announcement. A new lens, the GF45-100mm f/4 R LM OIS WR, is being added to the line-up next month.
Designed for the GFX large format camera system, the new lens fits nicely between the GF32-64mm and the GF100-200mm. Five-axis image stabilisation, one super ED lens elements and a near-silent, high-speed autofocus are all featured. A dust- and weather-resistant construction allows the lens to operate in temperatures down to -10°C.
The Fujinon GF45-100 f/4 R LM OIS WR is priced at £2049 and is available from 27 February.
Finally, Fujifilm has unveiled the latest development roadmap for G Mount lenses. This includes the development of two additional lenses for the GFX System: the GF30mm f/3.5 R WR wide prime lens and the GF80mm f/1.7 R WR. This takes the total line-up of lenses to 13 to accommodate the growing needs of image-makers around the world.
