Hasselblad has announced the release of its latest standard prime lens, the XCD 3,4/75P, part of the portable series
Joining the XCD Portable (P) series, the XCD 3,4/75P is aimed at portrait, street, and still-life photography. It offers a full-frame equivalent focal length equivalent of 59mm and features an f/3.4 aperture – the widest in the XCD P lineup.
Features
The lens incorporates an optical structure of ten elements in ten groups, including one aspherical and three ED elements, which help reduce chromatic aberration and enhance image clarity.
This design is intended to deliver sharp, colour-accurate images across the frame, supporting up to 100-megapixel camera sensors. Its wide aperture and compact build are designed the provide users with a versatile tool for a range of photographic styles.
The XCD 3,4/75P weighs 398 grams and measures 71mm in length and offers the longest focal length within the XCD P series.
The lens employs a linear stepping motor and a small focusing group, which Hasselblad says allows for precise and near-silent focus adjustments.

The XCD 3,4/75P lens is available for purchase at €2529. Hasselblad has also introduced a 9mm X Extension Tube, priced at €339 for detailed macro work.
