Laowa 15mm f/5 ultra-wide lens released

Venus Optics has announced the release of the Laowa 15mm f/5 Cookie FF, an ultra-wide-angle pancake lens designed for full-frame cameras

Weighing 158 grams, this compact lens offers a 110° angle of view and is aimed at landscape, street and everyday photographers.

It is constructed of 13 elements in 9 groups and features a five-blade aperture. The lens does feature an auto-aperture function for Sony E and Nikon Z mounts, but offers manual focus only.

Minimum focusing distance is 12cm, enabling a maximum magnification of 0.2x, and the lens includes a 39mm filter thread.
