Two new from Tamron
Tamron has launched two new lenses the 70-210mm F4 Di VC USD and 28-75mm F/2.8 Di III RXD
70-210mm F4 Di VC USD
The 70-210mm F4 Di VC USD compact telephoto zoom lens offers high-speed and high-accuracy AF through its Dual MPU (Micro-Processing Unit) and also features powerful VC (Vibration Compensation) image stabilization.
Its magnification ratio of 1:3.1 is the highest in its class and it also has a minimum focusing distance of 0.95m. As well as a Fluorine Coating the lens also has a Moisture-Resistant Construction to protect the lens in outdoor shooting situations. Thanks to an internal zoom mechanism the physical length of the lens doesn’t extend when fully zoomed out to help keep it compact when in use and its non-rotating front element means polarizing filters can be used much easier.
The Tamron 70-210mm F4 Di VC USD is compatible with the Tamron 1.4x and 2.0x as well as the optional TAMRON TAP-in Console, which allows you to update the lens’s firmware.
28-75mm F/2.8 Di III RXD
The 28-75mm F/2.8 Di III RXD for 35mm full-frame mirrorless cameras features a new high-speed precise RXD (Rapid eXtra-silent stepping Drive) AF driving system, which offers a quiet operation making it ideal for video use. For Sony users, the lens is compatible with the ‘Direct Manual Focus (DMF) system feature allowing users to take advantage of the advanced functions. The Tamron 28-75mm F/2.8 Di III RXD weighs 500g and measures just 117.8mm and features a Moisture Resistant Construction and Fluorine Coating for weather protection.

The Tamron 70-210mm F4 Di VC USD will be available in Canon and Nikon mounts from April 2018 with a suggested retail price of £699. A price for the 28-75mm F/2.8 Di III RXD is yet to be announced and availability is expected from mid 2018.
