Vanguard Announces VEO Active Series
Posted on Feb 18, 2022
At the largest end of the scale, the VEO Active 53 provides space for a pro-DSLR with grip, 6-7 lenses (up to 400mm f/2.8 or 200-600mm zoom), a full-sized tripod, a 16″ laptop and a 10″ tablet. It also features a day-pack section at the top of the bag for carrying personal kit, such as clothes for a multi-day hike, or extra camera kit if you wish. A zip-up accessories pouch keeps your SD cards and cables organised, whilst a detachable lens pouch allows you to keep an extra 70-200mm lens to hand on the waist strap. On the back, there’s a hidden pocket to keep valuables such as a wallet or passport safe, and there are also handy little pockets in the shoulder and waist straps.
Th VEO Active Series is highly versatile. The camera compartment includes a removable inner bag with a zipped front and can be organised according to each user’s needs using Vanguard’s next generation slimline, smart dividers. Alternatively, the camera bag can be removed entirely, freeing up the backpack for everyday use.
Boasting an aluminium alloy frame and thick padding for the lower back and shoulders, the VEO Active Series is designed to protect your back as well as your kit. This is extremely important when trekking for long hours – as is making sure you have enough food and drink for your journey. The VEO Active Series includes Vanguard’s first ever waterproof pouch for easy, on-the-go hydration, as well as plenty of pockets for storing snacks. Another handy feature is the backpack’s built-in USB interface port, which allows you to conveniently charge your phone using a power bank (not included), so you don’t have to worry about running out of charge before it gets dark.
Durable and weather resistant, the VEO Active Series is made with tough nylon 84-D Cordura, waterproof zips, and quality herringbone and double reverse stitching. There’s also a rain cover included.
The VEO Active Series is available from 1 March. Sizes include 42M (£149.99), 46 (£199.99), 49 (£229.99) and 53 (£249.99). For more information head to Vanguard’s website.
